Ann Townson BA (Hons)
The bold, vivid colour patterns of Matisse have been an inspiration to me in my paintings of ceramics. Be they common domestic pots, exotic pieces from different cultures or carefully assembled archeological treasures, each seems to develop an individual character. They respond to each other like actors on a stage, unfolding mysterious dramas. . . .
I am now on an MA course at UWIC.
