Is interested in the effect of industrial development and its decay on landscape and its people. Regeneration of industry is an important element of his work with the new modern forms mingling with the more familiar industrial shapes of the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Tends to disregard familiar forms and fixed ideas in work which is very often bold and uncompromising. Colours are strong and exercised over a wide tonal range to forge a link between objects which often share little relation with each other.

Recently his interest in the decay and regeneration within industry has extended to a study of the clearance and redevelopment of the Cardiff Docks. This was with three other artists and the group exhibited their work at the Norwegian Church Arts Centre, Cardiff, in August 2003.
