Lewis Allan DA, BA, MA

My work is figurative and expressive in intention but based on the post-impressionist premise that . . . a picture is essentially a flat surface covered with colours assembled in a certain order (Maurice Denis, 1890). . . I also believe that the play of memory and imagination can be as inspiring a motif as direct visual experience and as relevant to the creative process.
